The Mount Michael Drama Program is a year-round extra-curricular that produces two productions a year: one in the fall and one in the spring. In addition to many opportunities for on-stage roles, there are also opportunities to work behind the scenes: running light and sound equipment, helping with stage construction, and even helping to manage the show. Rehearsals are generally held in the evenings, so as to best accommodate everyone’s schedule. Recently the Drama Program produced “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” by Joe Landry. The successful production was a radio-show retelling of the Christmas classic, with the audience taking the role of the studio audience, and the radio actors covering multiple parts “on air.” The show ran for three nights in November, and received an excellent reception.
