The Mount Michael IT Club was founded in 2017 as a student-led initiative to explore IT topics and serve as an extension of the ideas and subject matter covered in the Cyber Security Fundamentals Class. The club caters to a wide variety of IT related topics beyond cyber security in a small group setting under the direction of Dr. Rzemyk, who teaches Cyber Security Fundamentals. We strive to bring together lectures, hands-on labs, IT leaders in the community, and partnerships with the public and private sector to expose members to all aspects of the field. The most recent venture of the club is our collaboration with the FBI, which involves exploratory trips and engagement with the government and private sector in the community. Our ultimate goal is to expose members to a broad range of computing topics with an interest in educating the next generation of IT leaders.
