On
Sunday September 28th the Nebraska High School Sports
Hall of fame held its annual
induction ceremony at the Lied Center in Lincoln.
This year Mount Michael's Legendary Coach Kane was one
of the inductees.
Jim
Kane, Elkhorn Mount Michael: The 1983 World-Herald coach
of the
year, he
had
seven state-championship
teams in
four sports — cross country, track, football and basketball.
His career coaching records are 547-236 in boys basketball
and 177-97 in football. The 1957 Wisner graduate was the All-Big
Seven catcher at Nebraska in 1957 and 1958.
