Alumnus Bishop Dendinger celebrates the Eucharist

Catholic School’s Week is celebrated at the Mount in several ways.  Led by the student council 4 dress down days were designated with different themes,  Team Jersey day, USA day, Celebrity day, and School Spirit day.  There is also a fundraiser for the Heart Ministry Center.   The Goal is $500.  If they meet that goal, a brave teacher (voted on by the donations) will get a pie in the face at the end of the week.

The Week is also featuring 4 speakers who recorded a video message to played at the start of 1st period each day.   The speakers are Mount Michael 1991 graduate Matt Walters who also has 2 sons attending the Mount, Huy Le who graduated last year,  Sharleen Ball a retired faculty member, and senior Sawyer Thompson.

On Wednesday the school community gather for the Eucharist led by retired Grand Island Bishop Dendinger who graduated from the Mount’s first graduating class in 1957.
