4 Knights Named National Merit Semi-Finalists
Mount Michael is please to announce that four seniors have been named National Merit Semi-finalists.
Tucker Cudmore is the son of Brent and Kit Cudmore of Blair Nebraska. Tucker previously attended Otte Middle School in Blair.
David Drews is the son of Karen Drews Wells of Omaha and Dennis Drews of Kansas City, Kansas. David previously attended Christ the King Grade School in Omaha.
Andrew Hartin is the son of Polly Hartin and the late Mark Hartin of Elkhorn. Andrew previously attended St. Patrick’s School in Elkhorn.
Michael Mullin is the son of Joe and Lori Mullin of Omaha. Michael previously attended St. Vincent de Paul Grade School in Omaha.
The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. Approximately 1.5 million high school students enter the program each year. Students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) as juniors. Semi-finalist continue on in the competition for scholarships that will be announced in the spring of 2022. Commended Scholars will be announced in October.
National Merit Commended Student
Senior Colin Eich has been named a National Merit Commended Student. Commended Students through out the nation are recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the competition for a National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students in the contest. Colin is the son of Bob & Melanie Eich of Elkhorn. Colin previously attend Saint Patrick’s School in Elkhorn
