Feast of the Immaculate Conception

December 8th marks the Liturgical Year with focus on Mary being immaculately conceived. We at Mount Michael celebrated the solemnity by inviting an alum of college days to celebrate with us— Fr. Ron Wasikowski. Fr. Ron hails from the heart of South Omaha. He and Fr. John are classmates. Besides being a classmate of Fr. John, Fr. Ron also served as the pastor of Fr. John’s parish in Albion, Nebraska — the two of them have lots in common — even polish and dill pickles! Fr. Ron was also a very influential person in saving St. Patrick’s elementary school in Elkhorn. We owe much to him for his work at St. Pat’s because many of those 8th grade boys, decide to be students of Mount Michael. Fr. Ron, thank you so much for your touching homily and intimate manner of celebrating the Eucharist. Blessings to you always.
