Gutschewski; Class B State Champion!
Congratulations to Mount Michael sophomore Luke Gutschewski on winning the Individual Class B State Championship! Luke is the first Knight to attain such a feat in Golf.
The weather was rough for the tournament this year. The first day of competition was cancelled due to heavy rain across the entire state. The following day of play was very windy. Luke was the only player in all the classes to shoot under par for the state tournament.
In meets during the regular season Luke finished 1st in 5 tournaments and 2nd in 3 tournaments. In the District Meet he place 3rd qualifying as an individual to play at the state tournament. As a team the Knights just missed making it to the state tournament. It is a young team that will be returning everyone for next season.
