Benedictine values encompass a broad range of concepts that are central to life within a Christian community. It is quite possible to literally perceive dozens of values that can be deemed as Benedictine in nature. This a testimony to the breadth of “The Rule” and communal life established by Saint Benedict.

Junior Retreat
Wednesday, Sept. 18 the juniors journeyed to the Pro-Sanctity Retreat Center for their retreat. Junior retreats the last few years are led by one of their favorite teachers, Mr. John Roshone. Roshone was practically born here at MM, since his father worked here for many, many years.
Mr. Roshone prepared group leaders to facilitate their groups in being honest about FAITH in their lives and how at times it has been challenged. Roshone, himself speaks of how his faith was challenged by two deaths of people who were very close to him — his uncle, Dan and his classmate DJ Sokol.
The class retreat also deals with how they live out their faith– especially here at MM. The final session is led by alums — Fr. John, Fr. Dan, John Roshone, Scott Townsend and Matt Coghill.
Feasting on pulled pork on a bun, corn on the cob, potato chips, jalapeno poppers, lettuce salad, banana bars and pumpkin muffins for as snack — they loved the day with Roshone and their lunch!
