Spirituality
Benedictine values encompass a broad range of concepts that are central to life within a Christian community. It is quite possible to literally perceive dozens of values that can be deemed as Benedictine in nature. This a testimony to the breadth of “The Rule” and communal life established by Saint Benedict.

MOCK TRIAL
Mount Michael is proud to present teams at the Nebraska State Bar Foundation’s High School Mock Trial competitions.
mock trial
Every fall Mount Michael students have the opportunity to participate in the Nebraska High School Mock Trial Competition which is sponsored by the Nebraska State Bar Foundation.
Under the guidance of local attorney and Mount Michael alumni Mr. William Crawford ’98 and teacher Ms. Emily Nolan, the Mock Trial team learns law theory, public speaking, jurisprudence, and teamwork in competition against multiple other schools in the region.
Each year a new case is created for the teams to study, evaluate, and create defense and prosecution arguments. Sometimes a civil case, sometimes a criminal case, but always an opportunity to learn what it is like to work in the legal field. With our competitions being at the Douglas County Courthouse, the prestige of Mock Trial brings great pride to the members of the team.
For any questions about Mock Trial please contact Emily Nolan at enolan@mountmichael.org.
