Learning about the Mount

This year part of the Freshmen immersion into life at MM is exposure to the history of the Monastic community and how the place came to be.
Most freshmen should now know who Rex Olson is and the part he played in MM history. They also know where the bell tower is and whose names are there and why. In addition they should know the individuals who are buried in the cemetery besides the monks. They also now know the taste of sugar cookies!!
(Fr. John meets weekly with the Freshmen to share and teach them about Mount Michael and what it means to be part of the Mount Michael Community and living our 5 Benedictine Values.)
